At the age of nine, Claudio started dancing Argentine folk music at the 'Almirante Brown Municipal Ballet'. Being directed by the lead dancers of the Brandsen Ballet, Claudio met Daniel Guillén- ex-dancer of the Chucaro Santiago Ayala company- in 1985. With him, he began to dance tango and to play small parts. In 1986, he met the members of The Guachi Pampa Folk Music Group, directed by Miriam Ramirez, ex-dancer of the Salta Ballet. He worked with her in 'Castello Vecchio' and 'La Veda'. Soon afterwards, he took part in Provincial Carnival Shows with Eduardo Avila and worked at several farmhouses, such as 'La Celia', 'Campo Argentino' and 'El Mangrullo'. In 1988 he was called again by Daniel Guillen to work with Nely Moreton Argentine Ballet, giving performances at 'El Dante' movie-theatre, at 'El Coliseo' in La Plata and to make a cable TV programme at 'El Palo Borracho', a folk music club. In 1989, he worked at the Sao Paulo Memorial in Brazil and also acted on television. On his return, he and Gloria Otero made a tangodance couple and they were declared 'best new artists' at the Avenida de Mayo Carnivals. Alberto Benitez, The Guachi Pampa's representative, called him to develop tango choreographies and to work at Rugantino nightclub. After that, he gave performances at the Alvear Theatre, together with Damacio Esquivel and Chango Spasiuk with choreography created by Ernesto Carmona. Claudio worked with Gloria Otero in several international shows at Rugantino, King, Karim, Gonn and Karina. He performed at the Colombia Cafe and at the tango club 'Che Buenos Aires'. In 1991, Felix Torres Productions offered him to make films for Australia shot at Carlos Gardel's house. Some time later, Enrique Sueldo invited him to take part in a comedy for children: 'El maravilloso mundo de los Pitufos' at Lorange Theatre; in 1993 he met Mariel -a dancer- and they worked at 'La Ventana' tango club, where Efrain Ordoñez, a choreographer and dancer, offered him to join the NEO TANGO Company, with which he acted at 'La Trastienda' and 'Gricel' nightclubs.
